The primary school years of a child's life are so important to their development of healthy self esteem and social relationship skills. We want children to develop a strong sense of confidence and a growth mindset as they prepare for adolescence and high school. Here are a sample of stories songs and activities that support the mental wellbeing of children aged 6-12.
Good echoes activity
Listen to the Good echoes audio then complete the worksheet by copying the sentences and creating your own 'I am' sentence to create positive self-talk.
I am proud activity
Children can listen to the self-esteem song then complete the 'I am Proud' work sheet.
Discuss the activity with your child as they write their response.
Physiology of excellence activity
We can use our body language to feel great! Download the colour in activity and while your child colours you can play the self esteem song and refer to the visual.
Feelings Activity
Talk about feelings or listen to the Feelings song as you colour in the picture of Possa Bill.
Tree of value activity
Listen to 'Reminders for feeling good' as your child completes their own 'Tree of Value' activity.
This helps promote healthy self-esteem.
